2021 Rancho Mission Viejo Farms Program (August - January)
is on back order
Let's Get Growing!
Join the RMV Farms program to learn how to grow fresh fruits and vegetables, while deepening your connection to the land and your neighbors.
The Farms are managed by our expert community farm team, who guide work-to-learn resident shifts throughout the week. You’ll participate in farm tasks, such as: propagating seedlings, amending and preparing soil, planting, pruning, and harvesting.
We take COVID-19 safety seriously on the farms while aiming to make it as fun and accessible as possible. Fully vaccinated participants are no longer required to wear masks on the farms. We also cap each shift to a comfortable number of participants so that there is plenty of distancing between households. Masks are encouraged for anyone who feels more comfortable wearing one. If you have questions about Covid safety, please reach out to us directly: email@example.com
If getting your hands dirty is not your thing, you can still participate! We need additional help with administrative tasks, enhancing the culinary aspects of the program, and capturing photos at events and work shifts.
Here’s how the program works:
- Participation requires a $100 registration fee* per household for a 6-month program session; the next session starts August 1, 2021 and runs through January 31, 2022.
- Participants agree to help on the farms for a minimum of two hours per month (per household).
- Program participation includes harvesting farm-fresh produce at every work shift and additional opportunities each month.
- Themed community events, and seasonal celebrations.
If you prefer to pay by check, it should be payable to RanchLife and can be brought to the Rancho MMC office daily from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
